The history of India has been of wars, struggles, disappointments and victory. We fought hard and long. We won in many terms and lost in a few. However, we were on the right path once, destined to be a thriving economy, set to be ‘The Place’ to compete with China for serious business. But then… Demo, GST and Unplanned lockdowns happened. Boom, we drained quick and thick.
Post the freedom from British, parts of us were divided forever. East Bengal later became the independent country of Bangladesh after 1971. Even with the division, the people of Bangladesh have deep roots with our West Bengal counterparts. Be it language, food habits or the culture. Lots was lost in the seperation, but then we have always had good relations between the two countries since then…
Bangladesh 49 years later had become a thriving economy due to good leadership and public policies in place. They have made a mark in various industries as a hub for exports. As per the latest reports by International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted that Bangladesh will surpass India in per capita GDP.
So to understand what Per capita GDP means, it’s definition is “Per capita gross domestic product (GDP) is a metric that breaks down a country’s economic output per person and is calculated by dividing the GDP of a country by its population.”
As per the World Economic Outlook report of IMF, India’s per capita GDP is set to drop by 10.5 % to $1,877 this fiscal year ending March 31, 2021. Bangladesh is expected to grow by 4% at $1,888. Making India the third poorest country just leaving Pakistan and Nepal behind.
Well it’s a shitshow for us not just in numbers, but then be positive as our little divided children have for a shot period outgrown it’s Father. All thanksto, emm you all know who 😁
So if someone in a debate pokes you with these numbers on how we are going to be down the list. Don’t forget to stick this narrative to them, Children have to grow up and be Successful some day, what else can make a Parent proud. It’s the only saving grace you have to salvage the situation.
Even if their success is going to be short lived, we should never forget who made this possible. A thriving economy has been reduced to ashes. The impact known only by those who bare it.
For the rest who wish to close their eyes and believe, All Changa Si, there is a New Chip in town! No no, not the nano 2000 walla baba!
This one’s a radiation killer!
